Preparing for your big day takes a lot of planning and patience.

Here are a few of my tips for a great hair and makeup trial consultation.

*Come in with your #makeup on so we can see what you feel comfortable wearing. Bring photos of a look you think you would like for your #wedding day. Having done thousands of faces over the years, I’ve learned that your, “#smokey eye” is not what most people think it is. Is smokey for you dark, or plumbs, blues,greens? Do you line inside of the water line or not? A picture is worth a thousand words and makes it much easier for us to communicate and understand one another. We are good, but sometimes we need a little help.

*BE WILLING TO TAKE OUR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

Sometimes all of that black you are used to for your every day life doesn’t transfer well onto your #wedding day. A bride wants to look Fresh, Crisp, clean and #beautiful with a gentle touch of sexy. Too much sparkle will not come out great in photos. It will turn grey, silvery and make you look washed out. You are to be photographed ALL DAY LONG and our makeup will last and be photo and hi def ready.

*BOOK WELL in ADVANCE.

We are booking into 2015 right now. We still have plenty of room for more brides, but don’t put pressure on yourself by not securing your #hair and makeup professionals well in advance.

AND. if by some chance we didn’t get it 100% on our first try, LET US KNOW. We would LOVE to do a second redo then have you run somewhere else and pay for another trial.

It’s that magical time of the year again! Brides getting engaged for Christmas, New Year’s Eve.. It’s all so romantic with the sparkle of Christmas lights everywhere!

Have you just gotten engaged? Time for engagement photos!

Planning your wedding takes some time so don’t rush the process. Enjoy it, but plan accordingly. Of course find your venue first! Don’t wait until the last minute to choose your makeup and hair stylists. They do book up fast. You want to ensure you look absolutely fabulous in your photos and of course, in person for the man you say, “I DO” to!

Also, the sooner you start your skincare and hair removal services the better you will radiate on the day of your wedding!

I absolutely love Kim from To Make Beautiful! She is an amazing make up artist! I had 6 bridesmaids in the wedding and she made each one of them look amazing in the pictures and in person! My make up was amazing, she was very accommodating and patient with me and even spent extra time before the wedding testing different eyelash extensions and make up colors. Kim did my makeup for my wedding. My trial was fun as Kim worked with me until everything was just right for the actual day. The day-of results were perfect. She also did make up for my mother & my mother in-law. We all have very different faces and colors, but each of our complexions appeared flawless (which they’re not) in real life and in pictures, and the colors she chose were very complimentary to each of us. Kim is very professional and knowledgeable. I had a completely enjoyable experience with her & my make up. I would recommend her services and expertise to any bride! The new Ann Taylor at Prudential Center with WBZ

I was lucky to be hired by Ann Taylor to do the makeup for a WBZ segment with Paula Ebbens. The segment was to show everyone the amazing new line of clothing Ann Taylor now has. Bright florals, bright colors and the same great quality. Paula Ebben was GORGEOUS in person and was sweet enough to come in the back to meet me and say hello because I had tweeted her that I was going to be doing the makeup for the models!
